I'm a seasoned, multi-chartered construction professional with over 45 years of experience spanning construction design and management, project delivery, logistics, transport and supply chain operations. 

My experience is supported by extensive professional qualifications and technical expertise in health & safety, quality, environmental management, fire safety and regulatory compliance, providing a broad and practical understanding of the requirements involved in successfully delivering complex projects.

My career has evolved from roles in architecture and local authority Building Control/Building Standards to senior project and construction management positions overseeing major construction and infrastructure projects. I have been closely involved in a number of Shetland's major energy and infrastructure developments, including projects within the oil & gas, electricity transmission and distribution, and renewable energy sectors.

Throughout my career, my emphasis has remained on the safe, effective and responsible delivery of projects - maintaining programme, cost and quality objectives while managing risk, ensuring compliance, minimising environmental impact and reducing disruption to local communities.
